We have had a fantastic return rate to School for Alert Level 2 with 95% of children back at school. It has been great reflecting on isolation and lock down with the children as we reconnect and set up hygiene and distancing routines with the tamariki.
For children who are continuing with learning at home we ask that you access Sunshine Online (teachers will assign learning from there or you could complete previously set work that has not yet been completed).
Basic facts are always important to continue practicing at all levels (addition and subtraction, multiplication and division). If your child has been given access to Epic, Studyladder or Sumdog then these are great programmes to access and use. HTV (Home Learning TV or HLTV. Available live weekdays 9am-3pm on Freeview 7, Sky 502, Vodafone TV 502, and simulcast on TVNZ website) is still running and has some fantastic resources and learning available on it.
There are still the Original Distance Learning Activities, the lonks and sites connected to this, keeping a daily diary, and of course any other learning tasks that were set by teachers that have not been completed that can be done.
Teachers will happily respond to any completed learning tasks that are emailed to them (or shared through class mediums).
We look forward to having everyone back at school in the not too distant future.
