What a great start to term two today!
It was lovely to see the children back and keen to try new challenges with their learning and reconnecting with friends. A number of children alo came to visit Mrs Gibbs as they completed value cards! We have our Bronze Value Award recipients up in the office on display – we look forward to this wall expanding with more photos of students being added.
This week we have John Parsons coming to work with the students during the day, staff after school and also a whanau session in the evening. We cannot recommend this session to you enough and encourage you to attend (regardless of the age of your child(ren)).
The whanau session will begin at 6:45 in Room 8 on Thursday evening and will finish between 8:15 -8:30 pm.
John works with Police, Oranga Tamariki, Schools and other connected services to support children and adults to keep themselves strong and safe online. He provides advice and strategies to students and whanau as well as supporting parents to identify tricks and traps that children can easily fall into when being online.
If your child uses a device, any device (ipad, phone, gaming consoles, computer etc) and the internet at any time for any purpose, you need to hear John.
